How it works & common questions
What does the check include?
Validity dates, days remaining, issuer, hostnames, negotiated TLS and certificate chain validation. Failed verification is shown as a problem, not as a valid certificate.
Where does the SSL data come from?
When you run a check, your browser sends the hostname to Domainee’s public SSL API. The free endpoint allows 30 requests per minute and 500 per day per IP, with no uptime commitment. Retry later if limited.
Does passing mean a website is safe?
No. Results describe the TLS connection and certificate at check time, not content, account security or all vulnerabilities. Your browser and the checker may use different network paths.
