How it works & common questions
What do 301, 302 and 200 mean?
301 is a permanent redirect, 302 is a temporary redirect, and 200 usually means the request succeeded. Other returned codes, including 307, 308, 404 and 403, are also shown.
Is this a global speed test?
No. Each duration measures a single server-side probe of one hop, not a full page load or global performance. We use HEAD first and fall back to GET if HEAD is unsupported.
Why does a URL work in my browser but fail here?
A site may block automated requests, require sign-in, or redirect with JavaScript. This tool checks up to 8 HTTP responses without JavaScript or your cookies. Only submit public URLs without access tokens.
